Pre-set delivery date is a functionality given by Appstle Subscriptions, with which, you - the merchant, can pick specific dates on which your recurring orders will be processed. This pre-determined and orderly fulfillment can bring several benefits to the merchant, including lower costs, due to consolidation of the process and work that goes behind shipping and order fulfillment.

Pre-set Functionality
Appstle offers the pre-set delivery date functionality separately, to every subscription plan in your store. If your store currently has 10 subscription plans, you can set a specific delivery date, for each of the 10 plans. They can be the same date for all the plans, or different dates for each plan, as per your convenience.

Note: The pre-set dates are specific to each 'subscription plan', and not each 'active subscription'. The two are different. Subscription plan refers to the plans that you - the merchant set, choosing the products that can be ordered in a recurring manner, at specific frequencies. Active subscriptions, on the other hand, refers to the number of recurring orders your customers currently have with your store.

To configure pre-set dates for your subscription plans, please follow the below steps:

Step 1: Login to your Merchant portal for Appstle Subscriptions on Shopify
Step 2: Click on 'Subscription Plans' on the navigation panel

Step 3: Click on 'Create Subscription Plan'. Refer to to the help doc link, for detailed guidance on creating a subscription plan

Step 4: After selecting the Delivery Frequency, click on the toggle for 'Want to Set Delivery date?', as shown in the below screenshot, to set a pre-set delivery date

Step 5: Select the day or date on which you want all orders in the subscription plan to be fulfilled on

Cut-off days

The function of cut off days while setting pre-set delivery dates, is to filter out just or newly created subscription orders that are too close to the pre-set delivery date.

For instance, lets assume you have a weekly subscription plan. You have set the pre-set day as Saturday. This means that all orders that are a part of this subscription plan will be fulfilled on Saturday. Now, lets assume that you set the cut-off day as '1'. What this means is that in any given week, all subscription orders that were created at least '1' day before Saturday (i.e Friday or earlier) will be fulfilled on that immediate Saturday. Any order that was created on Saturday will be considered too close for fulfillment, and its delivery will start from the next week.

Setting cut off days is purely optional; its sole purpose is to reduce the stress on merchants!

To set up cut-off days, please follow the below steps:
Step 1: Enter the cut off day, as shown in the screenshot

Step 7: Click on Save
