How to customize emails

Overview

Appstle enables you to send automatic email notifications to your members for many milestones, such as membership creation, upcoming renewals, and card decline, that occur during their membership journey with your store.

While Appstle sets default emails, you - the merchant, have complete control to a) ENABLE/DISABLE IT, choose the milestones during which you engage with your members, and b) CUSTOMIZE IT to your store and PERSONALIZE IT to make it an opportunity to connect with your members.

Member emails

We currently provide you the option to trigger multiple emails to members who signup for a membership

  1. Membership Created - This is sent to the member when they Subscribe to a product.

  2. Upcoming Renewal - This is triggered when the member has an upcoming membership renewal to be processed soon.

  3. Next Renewal Date Updated - This is sent when the upcoming membership renewal date is changed/updated.

  4. Renewal Frequency Updated - This is triggered when the membership renewal frequency is updated.

  5. Membership Paused/Membership Resume/Membership Cancel - These emails are sent when the membership is paused, resumed, and canceled, respectively.

  6. Transaction Failed - This is sent to the member when there is a payment/transaction failure.

  7. Expiring Credit Card - This is sent when the credit or debit card they have on file is about to expire.

  8. Recurring Discount Code - This email has a discount code and is triggered automatically after every defined interval when the email discount membership perk is enabled for a membership plan.

  9. Membership Product Replaced - Sent out when either the merchant (through the merchant portal) or the customer (through the member portal) replaces their existing membership product (ex: Gold Membership upgraded to Platinum or downgraded to Silver).

  10. Membership Management Link - As per Shopify guidelines, magic links for member portal access expire every 7 days and are refreshed. This is the template that will send out the new magic links to your customers.

  11. Security Challenge - This email is sent when a customer's credit card processor issues out a security challenge. The link to the challenge will be in the email, and the customer simply needs to click and complete it.

To access your emails, navigate to Settings > Customizations > Email Templates. Then select the link for the email template you wish to edit.

Once the email template opens, you can modify the email to best suit your store. You can also use this opportunity to smartly engage with your members and wow them with your store's unique experience!
