Overview

While offering special discounts to 'Members' only is a great perk to make Memberships and Loyalty programs attractive with, elements that bring exclusivity, such as exclusive access to certain portions of your store, can also build demand for your Memberships, if tactically implemented.

Appstle Memberships offers this perk, through which you can hide some of your blog pages from non-members and make them members only. You can achieve that by simply following some of the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Create a Membership Plan.

The first step to offering member perks is to create a Membership plan to which the perk will be associated. You can view the detailed process for creating a membership plan, here.

Step 2: Select the Membership Perk.

After creating the membership plan, click on Membership perks as shown in the screenshot below:

In Membership perks, select the 'Limit access to specific blog pages' option from the dropdown.

Step 3: Pick the selector of your entire blog page.

A selector is required to hide the collection page. You can find this by inspecting the elements of your storefront. If you are not comfortable with selectors, please contact our 24X7X365 support team, and they will be more than happy to help you out.

Once you have the selector, simply paste the selector as shown in the screenshot, and customize the block message to suit your needs.

Step 4: Choose the restriction method.

We provide two methods for restriction:
1) Restriction via URL
2) Restriction via product attribute

  1. Restriction via URL

  • If you want to hide a specific blog page, you need to select "Exact" from the "Path match type URL," meaning it will hide the blog page that exactly matches the URL entered in URL Path.

NOTE: You just need to copy the last part of the URL, i.e. the path after your shop name ends.

Now, paste the URL and save the plan. Now you're are good to go!

By selecting "contains" from the dropdown, you can hide all the blog pages that include the same term in the URL.

According to the screenshot below, any pages with URLs containing '/blogs' will be hidden for non-members.

After you have done this, save the plan. Now only your members will be able to see your blogs.

NOTE: In order to see the blog page(s), members must be logged in with the email accounts or user IDs with which they bought membership in your store.
