How to set up and configure bundling, with Appstle Subscriptions

Detailed guide on bundling products (as a one-time purchase or as subscriptions)

Updated this week

Product Bundling in Appstle Subscriptions

Bundling products benefits both merchants and customers:

  • Merchants → Increase sales, improve customer engagement, and capture more share of the shopper’s wallet.

  • Customers → Save on shopping, get better prices, and enjoy a more convenient shopping experience.

Use Case Example

Let’s say you run a skincare brand with three core products:

  1. Face Wash – Available as a subscription or one-time purchase

  2. Moisturizer – Available as a subscription or one-time purchase

  3. Cleaning Pads – Available as a one-time purchase only

With Appstle’s bundling feature, when a customer chooses a subscription for the Face Wash, they can also add the Moisturizer (either as a subscription or one-time) and the Cleaning Pads (as one-time) in the same purchase.

💡 Most bundling tools separate one-time and subscription products. Appstle lets you mix them freely, with no limit to the number of products you can bundle.

How to Set Up and Configure a Bundle

Step 1: Activate the Bundling Feature

  1. In your Merchant Dashboard, go to More → Product Page Bundles.

  2. Click Create Product Page Bundle.

Step 2: Basic Settings

  • Labels → Edit the text for bundle headings/buttons (Appstle provides pre-filled labels you can customize later).

  • Status → Set to Active or Paused.

Step 3: Configure Bundle Options

  1. Select Subscription by Default → Automatically enables subscription for all products in the bundle.

  2. Show Combined Selling Plans

    • Off → Each product shows its delivery frequency dropdown.

    • On → A single delivery frequency dropdown applies to the entire bundle.

  3. Bundle Type:

    • Classic → Merchant defines fixed bundle contents; customers cannot modify.

    • Mix and Match → Customers can add/remove products from the bundle. You can set minimum and maximum product selection limits.

Step 4: Add Discounts (Optional) & Choose Bundle Level

  • Set a percentage or fixed discount for the entire bundle total.

  • Product Level → Applies to the whole product.

  • Variant Level → Allows bundling at the variant level (e.g., specific sizes/colors).

Step 6: Select Products and Go Live

  1. Add products to the bundle

    • By default, products are set to a one-time purchase.

    • If you want the main product or any product in the bundle to be available as a subscription, ensure it’s already linked to a Subscription plan.

  2. Save and publish

    • Click Save.

    • The system will process your bundle (this takes only a few seconds).

    • Once processed, your bundle will be visible on your store’s product pages.
