With these activity rules, your customers can leave reviews on select review sites to earn loyalty points.

All of the review rules are configured almost identically from one another, so we will showcase one example here, and you can extrapolate the information here and apply it to any others you are looking to use.

To set up, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Activity Rules section.

  2. Click on Create Rule

  3. In the Name section, name the Activity Rule.

  4. For Customer Facing Label, describe the activity rule with a brief explanation on how points can be earned.

  5. For Customer Facing Icon, provide the URL of an icon or image, or leave it blank to use the rule-based global icon from the widget settings or the default image.

  6. For Base Points, input the amount of points a customer gets once the conditions of this activity rule are met.

    1. Use the toggle underneath to provide points to guest customers, that is customers who don't have accounts in your store, if you'd like.

  7. Auto Approval Days can be set if you wish to give yourself time to approve customers' loyalty points upon completing activity rules.

    1. If you do not manually approve the points yourself during the interval you set (in days), after it passes, the points will automatically be assigned to the customers' accounts.

    2. Leave 0 into this field if you want the points to be assigned to customer accounts immediately.

  8. Click the checkbox for Enable Activity Interval Per Customer if you want to limit how many times a customer can complete this activity rule per given interval of time (days, weeks, months, years, or lifetime).

  9. The next section, Tagging, is optional to complete. You can add customer tags to deny certain subsets of your customer base from taking advantage of this activity rule (ex: New Customers, Wholesale Customers, etc.).

  10. In Forward Emails, enter your business’s email in the field below to be sent customer reviews whenever they get written.

  11. In URL to Follow, enter the URL of your business's page on your review site of choice.

  12. For Notification, you can input a message customers will get when they get their points

  13. Status, set the activity rule as either Active or Paused.

When you are finished, scroll back up and hit the Save button.

Use Cases

This rule is all about increasing your store or brand’s repute with positive reviews. If your customers had good experiences with your business, you can use these rules to foster a symbiotic relationship with them; they leave good reviews while you award them loyalty points over regular intervals. The reviews themselves can also be excellent marketing materials as well, as you can use them to encourage more potential customers to conduct business with you.
