Some merchants may want to see and ensure that the subscription app/widget they are using both looks and works properly on their chosen Shopify store theme. If that is you, follow along this help doc to properly set up and test Appstle Subscriptions in your draft theme.

Note: Make sure you have subscription plans set within Appstle to make sure the widget will be visible in your subscription product pages in your draft theme.

Step 1: If you have one, in your current theme, disable Appstle Subscriptions

This is important, as the widget currently works on one theme at a time. Click the Customize button on your current theme in the Shopify Admin > Sales Channel > Online Store > Themes.

Go to App Embeds and make sure the toggle for Appstle Subscriptions is disabled. If you previously had the widget set in your current theme before this, disabling the toggle will remove the widget from the store.

Step 2: In your Theme Library, click to Preview your draft theme

Click the 3 dots button next to your draft theme of choice and select to Preview the theme.

Step 3: Enable Appstle Subscriptions in your draft theme

Navigate to App Embeds and enable Appstle Subscriptions.

If you have not already, navigate to a page of a subscription product in your store to ensure that the widget is visible.

Step 4 (OPTIONAL): Perform a test purchase.

You can select a purchase option from the widget and perform a test purchase, if you would like.

Congratulations, you have successfully installed Appstle Subscriptions on your draft theme!
