If you are using Braintree on your current platform and are planning on using Shopify Payments in Appstle Subscriptions for Shopify Checkout, you will need to connect a legacy Braintree account before migrating.
Setup
1. Go to:
https://admin.shopify.com/store/{shop}/payments/legacy_subscription_braintreeNote: Replace {shop} with the address to your store.
2. Enter the email address and password for your Braintree account.
3. Select Log In.
4. Select Authorize Access.
Once completed, you will be redirected to your Shopify Admin. A green banner will display a message that your Braintree account has been connected.
