Appstle Loyalty has introduced bundling capabilities. This article will demonstrate how it works and how to configure.

You would use bundling to group complementary products together, encouraging customers to purchase some or even all of them at once. You can use these to group together hair care products, like shampoo and conditioner, skin care products, custom apparel, etc.

The way bundles function in Appstle Loyalty is when they are set, a new product listing is automatically created in Shopify to be displayed in your store, as shown below:

First, navigate to Settings (More) > Bundles.

Click on Manage next to Bundles to be taken to the configuration page.

Click Create Bundle, and choose from Classic, Customize, and Mix and Match bundles.

Conceptually they are different, but are ultimately configured in similar ways.

Classic

In a Classic Bundle, you set in stone the products that need to be purchased, with customers not being able to change anything on their end.

Customize

In a Customize Bundle, you create different categories of products for your customers to choose one of each from to create their final bundle.

Mix and Match

Finally, the Mix and Match bundle is similar to Customize, except that there are no separate categories. You simply select the products you want to offer in a bundle to be displayed in one section, then your customers can choose to take or leave them, up to as many products as you have allowed them to select.

Note: As you are adjusting your settings while configuring, you can click on Refresh in the preview here to see how the bundle will look, and even test out its functionality.

Classic and Customize have almost the same configuration steps, with both needing a title and a bundle price. You can optionally add a description as well.

For Classic, choose the products you want bundled together in the interface.

For Customize, the interface allows for choosing product quantities and options, in other words, the different categories of products. Hit Add Options at the bottom once for every new category you want to create.

Finally, for Mix and Match, in addition to selecting products, you also have the ability to enter the number of products your customers can add to their purchase from your offerings.

If in the future you want to change the location of the bundle, you can come back to the Customization section in Shopify and move the block to a new location.

Alternatively, come to the Bundle Settings section in Appstle. You will need to get a selector for the bundle, which can be achieved by going into your browser’s devtools and searching for the bundle and buy button selector on the page.

Buy Buttons

Once you have found them, paste them into these fields.

The selectors need to be modified with a period or pound symbol up front depending on whether the selector was of type class or id, respectively. If your selector had spaces in your devtools, they will need to be closed and replaced with periods.

Once that is done, click the dropdowns in the section to both select a new location for placement and to change the bundle's option type to be either radio or dropdown.

Hit Update when you have made your selection.
