This article will show you how to create Segments in Klaviyo for your Shopify Tags.

Appstle automatically assigns customers with tags, the specific ones depending on what it is they are doing in your store. Examples can include signing up as a new customer, purchasing a specific product or a collection of products, canceling their subscriptions, etc.

Let’s say you wanted to display and keep track of your active customer tag and the customers it is tied to, viewable in their Shopify customer profiles.

Follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Log into the Klaviyo account that is tied to your store and click Audience then Lists & Segments.

  2. Click Create New and select Create Segment.

  3. Give your segment a name, preferably one that is intuitive with your subscription tag for ease of viewing.

  4. In the Tags section, select your subscription tag.

  5. In Definition, select properties about someone, then contains, then type in your tag name, and finally select list.

  6. Click to Create Segment.

Note: Be aware that it may take some time for Klaviyo to generate the segment.

Once it has been generated, your customers will be visible.

Finally, if you wish to keep tabs on this tag and its growth overtime, you can come to Segment growth to view analytics.

Any new customers or existing customers who dropped their tag will be recorded here. Heading back out to the Lists & Segments section, your segment will be in this list, and you can come back to view it anytime.
