Appstle Loyalty now supports the highly-requested ability to redeem loyalty points on checkout and thank you pages in stores.
Note: Configuration requires the use of Shopify's checkout editor, which requires you to upgrade to checkout extensibility. You will also need to be on the Shopify Plus plan. For more information, view Shopify's documentation on this here.
Follow the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Configuring the Embedded Block
In the Embedded Blocks section of appstle Loyalty, select the Point Redemption at Checkout option.
In the configuration page that follows, default headers and content will be set for each field. You can choose to leave these as they are, or customize them to your liking.
Step 2: Embed Appstle Loyalty Checkout in your checkout/thank you page
In your Shopify Admin, navigate to Settings > Checkout > Customize your checkout. Click to Customize.
In the interface that follows, click on App Embeds in the left panel and click on Appstle Loyalty Checkout to add it to either the checkout or thank you page of your store.
The example here is for the checkout page. Click Save in the upper-right when you have made your selection.
Step 3: Testing
To test, go to your storefront and attempt a purchase to bring up the checkout page. The dropdown for redeem options will be populated with any redeem rules that you have configured in Appstle Loyalty.
Any loyalty point costs associated with rewards redeemed here will be deducted from customers' current point totals upon purchasing.
(Optional) Step 4: View Redeemed Rewards
From your home page, click on the Customers section.
Select your desired customer ID.
Navigate to the Rewards tab.
Here, you can view all the rewards that this customer redeemed, got refunded, are unused, etc. For unused, if you need to cancel a specific reward for whatever reason, select to do so under the Action column.
