📦 Types of Boxes You Can Configure
There are two types of bundles you can configure for your customers:
Dynamically Pricing Bundles
Fixed Pricing Bundles
🔧 How You Can Access Build-a-Box
There are two ways to access and configure a Build-a-Box:
1️⃣ Via Subscription Plan
Go to Subscription Plan in your Merchant Portal.
Click Create Plan.
Configure your Build-a-Box.
2️⃣ Via Build-a-Box Menu
Go to More → Build-a-Box in the Merchant Portal.
Click Create Build-a-Box.
Configure your bundle as needed.
1️⃣ Dynamically Pricing Bundle
As the name suggests, the price of this bundle changes based on the individual products added.
Example: A Build-a-Box for ice cream.
Each product has its own cost.
The final box price increases as more products are added.
Minimum and maximum product selection can be enforced.
Tiered discounts can incentivise higher purchases.
Example Configuration:
Minimum products: 2
Maximum products: 4
Discounts:
3 products → 10% discount
4 products → 20% discount
How It Works
With a Dynamic Pricing Bundle:
The sum of the selected products determines the total price.
Merchants can define rules for product counts and order amounts.
Key Configuration Options:
Product Count Rules
Set minimum and maximum products allowed.
Example: Customers must add 1–3 products to complete the bundle.
Order Amount Rules
Set a minimum total price to meet your pricing threshold.
Example: Minimum total order value of $10 before checkout.
Bundle Redirect Location
After conditions are satisfied, customers can be redirected to cart, checkout, or a custom page.
Guides the customer journey efficiently.
Step Into the Customer Experience
2️⃣ Fixed Pricing Bundle
With a Fixed Pricing Bundle, the final price of the box is fixed, regardless of which products the customer chooses.
Example: A Build-a-Box for apparel.
The price is determined by the parent product created in Shopify.
Customers select from available items, but the total cost remains the same as the price of the parent product.
How It Works
With a Fixed Pricing Bundle:
The total price is set by the parent product.
Merchants define which items are included and available for selection within the bundle.
Key Configuration Options:
Parent Product Setup
Create a parent product in Shopify.
Set a fixed price for this product (e.g., $35).
Add it to a subscription plan if required.
Item Selection Rules
Include a range of products (e.g., shirts and shorts) from which customers can choose.
Customers select the items, but the final price remains unchanged.
Bundle Redirect Location
After selecting the parent product, customers proceed to the next step (cart, checkout, or custom page).
Ensures a smooth customer journey similar to Dynamic Pricing Bundles.
