Locating your Member's Customer Tag Name

The first step in creating a discount for your members is locating their associated Tag Name as active members.

In order to do so, within Appstle Memberships click on Plans & Perks, and then click Edit on any membership you've created.

That will bring you to the following screen below, where you'll see the field Customer Tag Name. Copy and paste the entire field and save it for the next step. In the example below, we're copying dessert-land-member.

Creating a Member's Only Discount

Now that you have your Customer Tag Name, the next step is creating a discount for those members.

Within Appstle Bundles, click on Discounted Pricing, and then click on Create Discounted Pricing.

That will prompt the popup below, where you get to decide on what kind of discount you want to offer. In this example we'll be using Product Discount.

Title and Description

Following the steps above will bring you to the discount setup page. The first two fields you'll see are Title and Description which will be visible to your customers on any product page where the discount is offered (if you've enabled the discount block in your theme).

Adding Products to Your Discount

This next section, Product / Variants will allow you to decide which products you want this discount to apply to. Simply select the products in the menu below and click Add.

Adding the Discount Amount

This next section is where you will create the actual discount amount.

  • If you select Percent Discount all the products you've selected will reflect the percent discount that you've inputted.

  • If you select Fixed Discount all the products you've selected will reflect the fixed amount discount that you've inputted.

Adding Discount Rules

This next section allows you to set certain rules for the discount you've created. In the example below, there are three rules set.

  • Maximum Product Count: the discount will only be applied if there are a minimum of 2 products in the member's cart.

  • Maximum Product Count: the discount will only be applied to a maximum of 10 products in the member's cart.

  • Minimum Order Amount: the discount will only be applied if the member's cart total is equal to or greater than $50.

Enabling the Discount for Your Members

This final section is the most crucial step in creating the discount. This is where you'll input the Customer Tag from Step 1, which will then allow your members to access this discount automatically, on any of the products where you've chosen to allow it.

You can also restrict certain customers from viewing this discount. By default only customers with the tag dessert-land-member will see the discount, but if for example you had customers who were both a member and part of a loyalty program, you could restrict them from seeing the discount.
