Newsletter Editor

The Newsletter Builder is the section where you can create and edit what appears in a specific Newsletter.

It features the same WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) interface as the CMS Page Builder, allowing you to drag and drop Content and Rows onto the Newsletter, as well as adjust Settings for the entire Newsletter.

The Rows tab allow users to create multi-column layouts. Layouts can be stacked on top of one another, or nested inside of one another, to create your Newsletter.

The Content tab enables you to add various types of information to your Newsletter.

Once added to a Newsletter, both Rows and Content can be easily rearranged by dragging and dropping them.

What to do if you find a Newsletter Locked when Editing

While editing a newsletter, it is possible to receive a popup alert that states that your Newsletter has been Locked.

This is due to another user editing/publishing the newsletter currently, multiple users can be editing at once, and publishing requires temporary exclusive access.

There is a 15-minute timeout, ensuring newsletters don’t remain stuck in a locked state if a publishing user abandons the flow. If the publishing user looks to be the same account you are logged into, you may have another browser window open which causes the newsletter to protect your previous changes.

Adding Rows in a Newsletter

Rows are drag and drop items that can be used to create different column structures within your Newsletter.

To add a Row to your Newsletter, just click and hold it, drag it onto the Newsletter, and release.

Rows can be stacked on top of one another, or nested inside of one another, to create your Newsletter.

The default empty rows will be shown, pre made row content is available by switching from Empty to Default in the included dropdown

After being added, Row column width can be edited by selecting the row and using the properties on the right side of the screen.

Adding Content in Newsletters

Contents are what enable you to add various types of information to your Newsletter.

These nest within Rows, so at least one Row needs to be added before Content can be placed.

Within Rows, some come with pre-made content if selected in the dropdown, switching from Empty to Default.

Types of Content include:

  • Title - allows for larger font title to be added and styled.

  • Paragraph - a general use text block that allows for easy text formatting

  • List - text that is specifically created for numbered or bulleted lists

  • Image - allows image uploads, click through links on images, and page alignment
