Report names are automatically generated based on how you want your data shown and the Google View name. If you choose a custom report, the title will be based on the Google Analytics metric you choose to send to Slack and your Google View name.

Usually, this works great. But if your Google View name isn't descriptive enough or you add a filter query you could run into issues. To solve this problem, Arc Analytics now lets you customize your report title!

1. Select "Projects" in the top menu

2. Click the pencil icon to edit an existing report

You can only edit the name of custom reports!

3. Scroll down to the "Customize message" section and turn on the "Custom title" option

4. Celebrate! 🎉

Your report now has a custom title! In the example below, we're trying our quarterly goal for user growth.
