Overview

With the PRO plan, you can create a custom talking actor by cloning a real person from a video. This feature allows you to reproduce both appearance and voice with a very high level of realism.

It’s ideal for founders, creators, and teams who want to appear on camera at scale—without recording new videos every time.

What Is a Custom Talking Actor?

A custom talking actor is a fully AI-generated avatar trained from a real video of a person.

Using this input, Arcads clones:

  • the actor’s facial appearance

  • their voice

  • natural speaking style and expressions

The result is a highly realistic avatar that can deliver scripts naturally across multiple videos.

⚠️ This feature is available exclusively on the PRO plan. reach out to damien@arcads.ai for any request.

How the Cloning Process Works

  1. You record and send us a single reference video following the guidelines below

  2. Our system trains a custom model based on your appearance and voice

  3. Once ready, your custom actor can be used to generate talking-head videos on demand

No additional recording is needed after the initial video.

🎥 Video Requirements

To ensure the best possible realism and lip-sync accuracy, the input video must meet all of the following criteria:

Length

  • Minimum: 2 minutes

  • Recommended: ~2 minutes 30 seconds

Speaking

  • Speak continuously throughout the video

  • Say anything you like (for example, talk about your company or your product)

  • Full, uninterrupted speech is required for accurate voice and lip-sync training

Framing & Visibility

  • Face must be fully visible at all times

  • The mouth must never be covered

  • Keep a natural, stable framing

  • Avoid abrupt head turns or jerky movements

Expression & Tone

  • Speak naturally

  • Use the tone you want your avatar to replicate (professional, casual, enthusiastic, etc.)

Eye Contact

  • Look directly at the camera as much as possible if you want your avatar to do the same

Recording Format

  • One continuous take

  • No cuts or edits

Best Practices

  • Record in a quiet environment

  • Use good, even lighting

  • Avoid strong shadows on the face

  • Speak clearly at a natural pace

Following these guidelines significantly improves the final avatar quality.

Key Takeaway

Cloning yourself into a talking actor lets you scale your presence effortlessly—while maintaining a realistic, human look and voice.
