Want to tweak a video without re-shooting it? With Kling o1 Video Editor, you can add new elements, swap objects, or remove anything from an existing clip.

What you can do with Kling o1

  • Add objects or details (a product on a table, a logo on a wall, props in a scene)

  • Swap elements (change a bottle design, replace a background item, switch outfits/colors)

  • Remove distractions (unwanted objects, signage, clutter, watermark-like elements)

How it works (step-by-step)

1) Open the Kling o1 Video Editor

Go to the editor and select Kling o1 Video Editor from the available tools.

2) Upload your video (input)

Upload the video you want to edit.

Input requirements

  • Format: MP4

  • Max file size: 10MB

3) Describe the changes you want

In the prompt box, describe exactly what should change.

Tips for best results:

  • Be specific about what to change, where it is, and what it should become

  • Mention style/lighting consistency (e.g., “match the original lighting and shadows”)

  • If removing something, describe what should replace it (e.g., “replace with a clean wall texture”)

Example prompts:

  • “Remove the red cup on the table and replace it with an empty wooden surface.”

  • “Swap the phone in the actor’s hand with a black phone, same size and angle.”

  • “Add a small branded logo sticker to the laptop lid, realistic and subtle.”

4) Important: your video will be trimmed

Please note: your input video will be automatically trimmed to the first 10 seconds before editing.

So if the moment you want to edit happens later, you’ll want to upload a clip where the key scene appears within the first 10 seconds.

5) Generate and review

Run the edit, review the output, and iterate if needed (small prompt tweaks usually get you to perfect).

Pro tips to get cleaner edits

  • Use clips with stable framing and clear visibility of the element you want to change

  • Avoid fast motion blur when possible

  • Keep prompts focused: one main edit per generation works best
