Do I get a tax credit?

Your solar system qualifies for a 30% federal income tax credit based on the purchase price. This directly reduces taxes otherwise owed, but you must have a tax liability to benefit. Currently the federal income tax credit is scheduled to sunset on Dec 31st, 2025. So all systems substantially installed by that date will qualify for a tax credit the following tax season. All that said, we’re mortgage and solar experts, not tax experts. Please get in touch with your tax advisor to discuss qualification.

What is the warranty on the system?

Arcasa offers three levels of protection for up to 25 years: product warranty through the manufacturer, workmanship warranty through our network of qualified build partners, and if all else fails, an independent limited lifetime warranty that is yours for as long as you own the home. We’ve got you covered for the long haul.

Is there going to be another lien on my property?

Nope! Thanks to your savvy decision to integrate solar through your mortgage, there is no second payment for the solar system, and no separate lien or UCC-1 filing.

Who is going to install the solar?

Arcasa has developed a nationwide network of qualified build partners that go through a rigorous vetting process before we allow them to participate in our program and work on our clients’ homes.

When is the system going to be installed?

Everything will be installed post-close, which means your closing process is as fast and simple as ever.

Will a system void my roof warranty?

In most cases, solar will not void a roof warranty. The key is for build partners to install according to manufacturer specifications, which is just one of the reasons that Arcasa is so particular about who we use as a build partner.

Will I still have a power bill?

In almost every case, yes, but it will be lower than before!

Will my solar work when the power goes out?

It will if you have a backup battery. Otherwise, the solar will not produce until the lights are back on.

Can I add more panels, batteries, or upgrades to my system later?

Definitely! Our first priority at Arcasa is to get you a solar system that:

  1. Unlocks mortgage assistance so you can purchase or refinance your home

  2. Saves you money on power bills

Beyond that, all of our systems are designed to be future-proofed and ready for additional capacity or exciting features like batteries if you so choose. On the flip side, Arcasa is also able to add solar to an existing system if there’s already one on your new place.

Does this make me the smartest and coolest person in my neighborhood?

We certainly think so.
