In this guide, we’ll walk through the steps needed to connect your OneLogin account with Archie for single sign-on (SSO) integration. This integration will allow your employees to log in Archie using their current account. Before beginning, ensure you have admin access to both your OneLogin and Archie accounts.
Step 1: Start Configuring SAML Settings in OneLogin
Log into your OneLogin account, go to Applications, and click Add app
Search for SAML Test connector and Select SAML Custom Connector (Advanced)
Set the Display name to 'Archie' and click Save.
Go to Configuration, and add the below information.
Audience (EntityID) : https://archieapp.co
Recipient: https://archieapp.co/saml/acs
ACS (Consumer) URL Validator: .*
ACS (Consumer) URL: https://archieapp.co/saml/acs
Leave the remaining fields as they are.
Once ready, click Save
Go to Parameters, click the "+" sign, and add the following parameters:
FirstName: First Name
LastName: Last Name
Email: Email
ExternalID: any value, will be stored in the external_id field in Archie. It can be useful for future API links.
Go to SSO, and copy the below information in a notepad as we will be using this later in Archie
X.509 Certificate
Click on View Details and select SHA256 as fingerprint
Issuer URL
SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP)
Step 2: Complete Configuration in Archie
In a new tab, open Archie, go to "Settings > Integrations > App Marketplace" , locate the SSO SAML integration, and click View integration.
Click Connect identity provider
Fill the information needed
Provider: Select OneLogin
Provider name: Set the name that you would like to use to identify this integration
Note: It's best to leave the Provider Name blank unless you have multiple SSO clients, like two OneLogin accounts for different user groups, where naming helps distinguish them.
SSO URL: Enter the SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP) obtained in Step 1.6
Entity ID: Enter the Issuer URL value obtained in Step 1.6
Copy/paste certificate: Add the X.509 Certificate obtained in Step 1.6
Note:
Copy paste the certificate itself and not a URL or download link
When pasting the certificate, ensure no spaces or line breaks were added, as copying from Notepad may introduce breaks that cause issues—double-check before pasting
Save your changes and copy the generated Relay State value into a notepad, you’ll need it later.
Switch back to the OneLogin tab
Step 3: Complete configuration in OneLogin
Go Back to the Configuration tab and paste the Relay State copied in Step 2.4 in the RelayState field and save the changes.
You’re All Set!
Your OneLogin account is now integrated with Archie. Users can now log in to Archie with their SSO credentials.
