Working with the Rooms app

The Rooms app is used for booking and displaying the availability of a specific room. The app is configured and set up in a tablet outside a room, allowing users to book the room, check in, and cancel a previously made booking.

The app is designed to be used exclusively on tablet devices due to its resolution.

In this article, we will be working with rooms already created, for more information about creating a room, you can refer to this article.

Step 1. Setting up the app

  • Download and install the app on your device. The app can be found in the App Store and Google play under the name Archie - Rooms. You can also find the links under "Settings / Apps / Rooms"

  • The first time that you open the app you will be taken to the sign in screen, enter your email address and your password

  • Select your workspace

  • The app will ask you to generate a passcode, you will receive it in your email after clicking "Generate my passcode"

  • Enter the passcode received

  • The app will ask you to create your own pass code.

  • Select the room to connect

  • The app will now be ready to use

Step 2. Booking the room

  • Click the Book now button

  • Select your account

    • Note: Bookings can only be made by persons with existent accounts.

  • Select the booking period, you can select the intervals predefined, or set a custom period

  • The room will now be booked for the user and time selected

Archie tip: The app will show the room availability starting at the current time, and will include information of the bookings made.

Step 3. Canceling a booking

  • Click the booking that you want to cancel

  • Click Cancel booking

  • You will be prompted to enter your passcode to verify your identity

  • After entering your passcode, you will have the option to Cancel the booking or proceed with the check in

Step 4. Reviewing the settings

  • On the main page, click the settings button located at the bottom right part of the screen

  • In here you can:

    1. Disconnect the space

    2. Change the connected room

    3. Set the Single App mode

    4. View the current app version and your Operating system version, this information is requested when submitting a ticket with us
