How to edit terrain in your project

Editing the terrain

To edit the terrain:

  1. Click anywhere on the terrain to select it and click the Edit terrain button in the right sidebar. Alternatively you can double click on the terrain.

  2. Draw with any of the sketch tools (rectangle, circle, line, arc) to create a flat area on the terrain.

  3. To exit editing the terrain, click the Done button or press Escape.

Adjusting the elevation of a flat area

While editing the terrain - to adjust the elevation of a flat area, select a flat area and edit the Z position input in the right sidebar.

Adjusting the slope of a flat area

While editing the terrain - to adjust the slope of a flat area, select a flat area and edit the Slope input in the right sidebar. The Slope value is defined by the distance from the flat area sketch to where the slope ends.

Changing the map style

The map style can be updated in the View tab, which is visible when not in terrain edit mode and when nothing is selected.

Hiding/Showing contours

Contour visibility can be updated in the View tab, which is visible when not in terrain edit mode and when nothing is selected.

When contours are visible and the terrain is selected you can hover on contours to show their elevation.
