Subcounts

Subcounts are used for additional counts per area type or by square footage/meter. For example, you might have a subcount called “Beds” to get a total count of beds for your building based on the total of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. For a data center project you could have a subcount called "IT Power" to get total wattage for your building based on x watts per square foot.

Creating a subcount

Subcounts are parented by a building function.

To create a subcount:

  1. Navigate to the metrics settings page

  2. Click on the Building Functions section

  3. Click the settings button on the right side of a building function row in the table

  4. Add a subcount in the Subcounts section of the menu that appears

  5. Click the settings button beside a created subcount to edit its name and type (per unit vs by area)

Deleting a subcount

Click the settings button beside a created subcount to open the edit menu. Click the Delete button.

Applying a subcount

Subcounts show as a parameter on each area type within the same building function. To apply a subcount to an area type, edit the area type and enter the subcount value there.
