Subcounts are used for additional counts per area type. For example, you might have a subcount called “Beds” to get a total count of beds for your building based on a mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units.
Creating a subcount
Subcounts are parented by a building function. For example, you may have a “Beds”subcount within the Residential function.
To create a subcount:
Hover on the
Building
section of the Metrics sidebar and click the settings button that appears in the top right. This will open theBuilding Parameters
menu.Hover on the building function you wish to add a subcount to and click the settings button that appears beside the function name.
Click the
+
button in theSubcounts
section of theEdit building function
menu that appears. A subcount with a default name will be created.
Renaming a subcount
Click on the subcount you want to rename in the Subcounts
section of the Edit building function
menu. Input the new name and press Enter
to save the change. You can also press Escape
to discard changes if you haven’t pressed Enter
yet.
Deleting a subcount
Click the -
button beside the subcount you wish to delete in the Subcounts
section.
Applying a subcount
Subcounts show as a parameter on each area type within the same building function. To apply a subcount to an area type, edit the area type and enter the subcount value there.
