The pen tool may be used to create custom shapes, but parametric elements like rectangle and ellipse can be helpful for quick editing.
Creating a rectangle
To create a rectangle:
While on a board, click the rectangle button in the toolbar. If the rectangle tool is not currently active in the button, click the down arrow beside the button and select
Rectanglefrom the dropdown. Alternatively you can use shortcutR.Click and drag on the canvas to create the rectangle. Hold
Shiftwhile dragging if you want to create a square.
Creating an ellipse
To create an ellipse:
