How to use Commenting in Arcol

Creating a comment

To create a new comment comment thread:

  1. Select the comment tool from the toolbar or use the shortcut shift + C

  2. Click anywhere you want to leave a comment and add your comment text and then press Enter or click the send button

  3. Unresolved comments will appear in the comment menu for everyone with access to the project

Note - commenting is only available on boards and sheet sets today but is coming to modeling soon!

Replying to a comment

To reply to a comment:

  1. Open a comment in the project by clicking on a comment bubble in a view or on a board

  2. Add your reply text and then press Enter or click the send button

Resolving a comment

To resolve to a comment:

  1. Open a comment in the project by clicking on a comment bubble in a view or on a board

  2. Click the checkmark button in the top right of the comment

Editing/Deleting a comment or reply

To edit a comment or reply:

  1. Open a comment in the project by clicking on a comment bubble in a view or on a board

  2. Hover on the comment or reply you wish to edit and click the ... menu to the right of the commenter’s name. Select Edit or Delete

    1. Note if you are the owner of the original comment you can delete the entire thread of comments

  3. Make your changes and then press Enter or click the save button

The comment sidebar

Whenever the comment tool is active, the comment sidebar is shown on the right side. All comments in the project are shown in the sidebar, and you can click on any comment to navigate to it. Hovering on a comment in the sidebar shows the delete and resolve buttons, giving you an alternative way to perform those functions.

Show/Hide resolved comments

Resolved comments are hidden by default. To show them, click the ... menu in the top right of the comment sidebar and select Show resolved . To hide resolved comments, select Show resolved again.
