Using the Offset tool

The offset tool is only available while creating or editing a sketch.

To offset a line:

  1. Click the offset button in the the toolbar. If the offset tool is not currently active in the button, click the dropdown beside the button and select Offset. Alternatively you can use shortcut O.

  2. Set your offset distance via the input that appears in the middle of the toolbar.

  3. Hover on another line in the sketch being edited to see a preview of the offset.

  4. Click while viewing a preview to create the offset line.

  5. Click the Done button or press Escape to exit the offset tool.

Using the Align tool

The align tool is only available while creating or editing a sketch.

To align one line to another:

  1. Click the align button in the the toolbar. If the align tool is not currently active in the button, click the dropdown beside the button and select Align . Alternatively you can use shortcut Shift + A.

  2. Select a line within the sketch being edited that you want to align to.

  3. Hover on another line in the sketch being edited to see a preview of the align.

  4. Click while viewing a preview to align it to the first line you selected. Alternatively you can hold Shift to align multiple lines in a single action.

  5. The align tool is automatically exited after an align is completed. (Or after releasing the Shift key to multiple align).

Using the Trim/extend tool

The trim/extend tool is only available while creating or editing a sketch.

To trim/extend a line:

  1. Click the trim/extend button in the the toolbar. If the trim/extend tool is not currently active in the button, click the dropdown beside the button and select Trim/extend. Alternatively you can use shortcut X.

  2. Select a line within the sketch being edited that you want to be the trimming/extending edge.

  3. Hover on another line in the sketch being edited to see a preview of the trim/extend.

  4. Click while viewing a preview to trim or extend to the first line you selected. Alternatively you can hold Shift to trim/extend multiple lines in a single action.

  5. The trim/extend tool is automatically exited after a trim/extend is completed (Or after releasing the Shift key to multiple trim/extends).

Using the Fillet tool

The fillet tool is only available while creating or editing a sketch.

To fillet 2 lines:

  1. Click the fillet button in the the toolbar. If the fillet tool is not currently active in the button, click the dropdown beside the button and select Fillet. Alternatively you can use shortcut F.

  2. Select a line within the sketch being edited that you want to fillet.

  3. Hover on another line in the sketch being edited to see a preview of the fillet.

  4. Click while viewing a preview to fillet the two lines.

  5. The fillet tool is automatically exited after a fillet is completed

Temporary Dimensions

Selecting any line in a sketch will show temporary dimensions. These dimensions can be edited by clicking on the dimension.
