More or less all modern accounting systems contain a General Journal function which allows for direct entry of accounting transactions without concern for user interface restrictions. An external accountant will often request that transactions be entered by General Journal, because creating such transactions requires no software or system specific knowledge - just a good understanding of accounting principles.
The Bulk Journal function in Ardex Premier does everything a General Journal function would do in another application - and much more. As with recording of General Journal transactions in any application, some basic accounting knowledge is essential. Reading the first chapter or two of any first year accounting text book would be a great start - this guide provides a summary of accounting principles that are relevant to using the Bulk Journal feature.
