The location status of a horse is normally changed through the procedures window, which is accessed by clicking Main at the bottom left, then click Procedures.

In this example the horse Abscond is recorded as arriving to the property on 1 October 2013, and is assigned to the location status Pretraining at a rate of $60 per day. If the Special Rate box is ticked the horse may be assigned a daily rate different from the standard rate for that Status.

Click Add at the bottom right to record the procedure and set the location status for the horse. For more information on Procedures see the Ardex Premier Stud Procedures Guide. System Procedures which allow for change of Location Status for a horse are as follows:

For example, if you intend to start billing horses in Ardex from 1 July, you should make sure that the arrival or movement procedure recorded to each horse just before 1 July is correct, and also ensure that all horse arrivals and movements which took place in the month of July are recorded accurately. As location status of each horse directly affects billing, it is important to keep horse locations accurate and up to date at all times.

A history of location status changes for a horse can be accessed through the horse information window. Go to Main at the bottom left, then click Horses and double click any horse name to open the horse information window for that horse. On the left side click Location to view location status history for the horse.

Location Status for the horse can be modified from this screen, but we recommend making changes through the Procedures window wherever possible so location changes are recorded in the procedure history for the horse.
