Follow these steps to add a horse to Ardex;

A blank horse entry screen will appear. There are 2 mandatory fields - the horse Name and Type. 

Fill in as much information on the horse as you have available to you.

Tip: Use the Australian Stud Book (ASB) database

If you have a subscription to the Australian Stud Book database, enter the name of a horse and press F5. Horse name matches from the ASB will be displayed, allowing you to select the correct horse.

Note there may be multiple name matches - be sure to select the correct horse from the data presented.

Once you have finished entering and reviewing the horse information, click Add and the newly created horse will be available in Ardex.

Using the Australian Stud Book database not only saves time, but ensures standardisation of horse information across multiple systems.
