More or less all accounting systems contain a General Journal function, which allows for direct entry of accounting transactions without concern for user interface restrictions.
Accounting systems work on a double entry basis, where;
Every transaction must affect at least two accounts, and
Total debits in a transaction will always equal total credits (balanced transaction).
The Bulk Journal feature in Ardex Premier makes this process much more efficient.
Because Debits and Credits recorded in a bulk journal must balance (total debits = total credits), a basic understanding of accounting principles is strongly recommended.
In Ardex, Bulk journals are commonly used for a variety of purposes including recording wages, distribute Prizemoney, Petty Cash and other complex transactions where many accounts are affected in the one transaction.
