The Mare Slipped (or similarly named) procedure is required when a Mare is recognised as in foal (all scans and tests positive), but the pregnancy miscarries or is terminated.

This procedures reverses the in foal breeding status, removes the foal Due Date from Service and Breeding History, and from a number of foaling related reports.

To record a Mare that has slipped;

  • Click Procedures

  • Enter the Mare name

  • Select Mare Slipped from procedures

  • Enter any notes

Notes can be communicated with owners using the Communications tool in Ardex.
