Ardex Remote is a service that runs on a Windows Terminal Server. Users connect to Ardex Remote by using the Remote Desktop Connection app that comes standard with Windows (7, 8, 10 and 11). As of 02/2026 the "Windows App" now supports remote desktops.

How to install the "Windows App"
Open the "Microsoft store" on your computer
In the search bar at the top, search "Windows App"
Click on "Windows App" in the list of apps
On the store page click "Get"
The "Windows App" will now install
How to configure the Windows App to connect to Ardex Remote
Using the Windows App will require a Microsoft Account to sign in.
You can use your own personal or business Microsoft account.
Open the "Windows App" (follow the steps to sign in if it is your first time).
Once signed in, click on the "+ Add" button
Enter in the PC name
PC NAME: remote.ardex.com.au
Click "Additional settings"
Click "Redirections"
Under "Audio and video"
Set "Speaker to "Do not play"
Set "Microphone" to "Do not record"
Under "Other"
Turn Printers on
Turn Drives on
Click "Add"
The Ardex Remote Session will now appear in your list of "Remote PCs"
Click on the remote pc and
You will be prompted to enter in your username and password
Username: ardexremote\yourusername (Enter the username supplied)
Password: (Enter password supplied)
Tick "Remember me" if you want windows to save your details
If you cant enter your details, click on "More choices" and select "Use a different account"
You should now be able to open up the remote desktop and open up Ardex.
How to connect with the "Remote Desktop Connection" app
Click Start
Type "Remote Desktop Connection". The Remote Desktop Connection app should appear in the Start menu, or;
Windows 10: Click Start - Windows Accessories - Remote Desktop Connection
Windows 7 or 8: Click Start - Accessories - Remote Desktop Connection
Open the app
How to configure the Remote Desktop application
Click Show Options in the bottom-left and do the following
Computer: remote.ardex.com.au
Username: ardexremote\yourusername (Enter the username supplied)
Click Local Resources
Under Remote Audio, Click Settings
Set both Remote Audio Playback and Recording to Do Not Play/Record
Click OK
Under "Local Devices and resources" make sure there is a tick beside:
Printers
Clipboard
Click More
Place a tick beside Drives - Local Disk (C:) (you may need to expand "Drives")
Click OK
The Remote Desktop is now configured.
Click Connect to start your Remote Desktop session.
Enter in your Password when prompted (Enter password supplied)
You should now be able to open up the remote desktop and open up Ardex.
