A text note to horse owners is a simple way to communicate your thoughts on training progress or race performance for a horse. The note once entered will be normally be sent immediately to horse owners and nominated interested parties by e-mail, in a format consistent with your communications template.
You may nominate that progress notes initially save to your database for review / editing before sending if you prefer. Text Progress Notes may contain just text, or you can easily add links and attachments such as photos and videos to a note. Photo attachments will embed into the message body, video attachments will appear as a html link in the message body (click the link to watch the video).
Note: Communications sent via Ardex Mobile will go to the Horse Owner, to your Secure Ardex Premier Database, and NOWHERE ELSE. You should not assume this is the case with any competing mobile app products which allow for recording and sending of horse training progress and racing updates.
Create Text Note (No Attachment)
To create a text note, select a horse and click “More” on the bottom-right, choose “Progress Text Note”. Enter the desired text to the Text box, and click Add Attachment if you want to attach a photo, video or other file. Document and Image attachments must first be added to Documents and Images for the horse before they can to be attached, see instructions above.

Once the text has been entered, and an attachment (if any) selected, choose whether or not to send this note immediately then “Save” the note. If you activate Send Immediately the note will go to the horse owners by e-mail, otherwise it will be saved to your database for editing and sending at a later time.
Note: There are three types of text notes - progress, pre-race and post-race. Pre-race and Post-race text notes may be created from the “Runners” screen and will include form and results information automatically. If you need to send text notes immediately on a regular basis, please request that Ardex activates AutoComms for you Ardex Mobile account.
