Why don’t I have any matches yet?

It can take a few weeks — here’s why and what you can do to speed things up.

Updated this week

Totally understandable — waiting for your first match can feel slow. On average members see their first match within about 3 weeks, but timing varies. Here are the main reasons you might not have a match yet and practical steps to improve your chances.

Common reasons you haven’t received a match yet

  • Your plan / match cadence. Starter members receive 1 intro/week, Builder 3/week, and Leader 5/week. Fewer available intros means it can simply take longer to receive a good match.

  • You’re on Free. If you’re on the Free plan, you will not receive new intros. Confirm your trial or paid plan is active in Account Settings → Billing.

  • Activity & acceptance behavior. If you frequently pass on intros, you are limiting your chances of getting a match. Accepting the majority of your intros generally improves future match frequency.

  • Profile completeness. Profiles that go beyond the basics get more attention. Headlines, a clear bio, tags/skills, examples of speaking or events, interests, and notable accomplishments help other members say “yes.”

  • External factors outside your control. Matches require mutual interest — if the person on the other side doesn’t review or accept their intros (or they pass), matches won’t convert. Intro expiration windows and other members’ activity levels also affect timing.

What to do now — quick checklist

  1. Confirm your plan & trial status in Account Settings → Billing (Starter/Builder/Leader vs Free).

  2. Complete your profile — headline, bio, career goals, portfolio links, notable accomplishments, and events or speaking credits.

  3. Be generous with acceptance — accept the majority of your intros so the system learns you’re receptive.

  4. Engage with the product — respond to messages, verify meetings, complete review actions and attend events; these behaviors improve match signals.

  5. Check email folders (spam/promotions) and the Matches / Meetings tab for alerts. We email you immediately when a match arrives.

  6. Wait a little — 3 weeks is typical. Give the system a few weeks to learn your preferences and for cohort signals to line up.
