ARI/Slate Integration Initial Steps

Step 1: Email the following 7 items to support@arirecruiting.com with a message indicating that you are sending the information as requested in the ARI/Slate Integration Initial Steps instructions:

  1. List of your Entry Terms

  2. List of your Student Types

  3. List of your Prompt Value for Decision

  4. List of your Prompt Value for Person Status

  5. List of your Prompt Value for Application Status

  6. List of your Prompt Values with a Key of sport:

  7. What Export Value(s) are currently in use for your Prompt Values with a Key of sport? e.g. Are there currently values in Export Value, Export Value 2, Export Value 3 etc.? For example, in the screenshot below, Export Value is in use but Export Values 2-5 are available.


Step 2: Create a new Prompt Key and Prompt Values for ARI Source:

  • Part 1: Create Prompt Key:

  1. Go to Database>Prompts

  2. Click on the New Prompt Key button

  3. In the Name field, add this value: ARI Source

  4. In the Key field, add this value: ari_source

  5. Click on the Save button

  • Part 2: Create Prompt Values:

  1. Click on New Prompt (while inside the ARI Source Prompt key settings, where you should have been directed after clicking on Save in Part 1 above)

  2. In the Value field, add one of the Values from the Prompt Values list below

  3. Click on the Save button

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 until all 6 of the Prompt Values have been created

Step 3: Create a new Field for ARI Source:

  1. Go to Database>Fields

  2. Click on the New Field button

  3. Set the Scope Category option to: Related

  4. Set the Scope option to: Sport

  5. In the ID field, add this value: ari_source

  6. In the Name field, add this value: ARI Source

  7. Set the Field Type option to: Single Value

  8. Set the Prompt option to: ari_source

  9. In the Advanced Settings tab, set the field to Unsafe

  10. Click on the Save button


Step 4: Create a new Field for ARI Archived:

  1. Go to Database>Fields

  2. Click on the New Field button

  3. Set the Scope Category option to: Related

  4. Set the Scope option to: Sport

  5. In the ID field, add this value: ari_archived

  6. In the Name field, add this value: ARI Archived

  7. Set the Field Type option to: Bit (Yes/No)

  8. In the Advanced Settings tab, set the field to Unsafe

  9. Click on the Save button


Step 5: Create a Service Account for ARI:

  1. Go to Database>User Permissions

  2. Click on the New User button

  3. In the First Name field, add this value: ARI

  4. In the Last Name field, add this value: Support

  5. In the Preferred Name field, add this value: ARI

  6. In the Email field, add this value: support@arirecruiting.com

  7. Set the User Type option to: Service Account

  8. In the User ID field, add this value: ari_service

  9. Check the Enable account for access option

  10. Click on the Save button

  11. On the next call with ARI we will set a Password for this Service Account
