For clients who use both Audit and Tax services, we follow a process designed to avoid duplicate requests and make collaboration easier.
Audit creates the initial request list for the client.
Tax creates a separate request list for tax-specific items.
For documents needed by both teams (e.g., Trial Balance, financial statements), tax professionals can view the audit request list instead of asking clients to upload the same documents twice.
To streamline this coordination, TaxAdvantage provides a shortcut for tax users to access Audit Ally requests directly.
How to Access Audit Ally Requests
In TaxAdvantage, go to the Information Request page.
Under the Tools dropdown, click View Audit Ally Requests.
You’ll be taken to a page listing all Audit engagements for the selected client. Locate and click on the Financial Statement Audit engagement to open it.
Tip: If you cannot access the engagement, reach out to the audit team to grant permissions. (Automation for this step is in progress.)
Find the relevant requests and download the associated documents.
Client Experience
Multi-service clients will land on the Armanino Access homepage when they log in. This provides a smooth experience and visibility into request lists in both Audit Ally and TaxAdvantage, ensuring they can easily track outstanding requests and drill into each application to upload documents.
Future Improvements
We have additional enhancements planned for 2026 in the TaxAdvantage roadmap:
Automated Access: Tax users will no longer need to request audit team permissions manually.
Integrated View: Audit requests will be displayed directly in TaxAdvantage for a seamless experience.
