Rollforward an Engagement

Learn how to roll forward a completed request list to a new period while preserving key settings and configurations. Rolling forward creates a new draft request list based on an existing one, allowing you to carry requests into the next cycle without starting from scratch.

Accessing Rollforward

  1. Navigate to the completed request list you would like to roll forward.

  2. Select the ellipses (...) next to the request list, and choose Rollforward.

  3. Update the name of the new request list if needed.

    1. Years in the name will automatically be incremented

    2. You cannot have two request lists with the same name

  4. Choose any additional options you would like that apply:

    1. Preserve Privacy and User Permissions to retain the existing privacy settings and user access (this is selected by default)

    2. Archive Prior Year's Request List to automatically archive the previous request list after the roll forward is complete.

  5. Select Create Draft.

  6. A new request list will be created in a Draft state and will not be visible to your client until it is published.

  7. Review the draft request list and make any necessary updates by selecting the pen icon next to Tools. This allows you to make rapid edits, reorganize and renumber requests, add/change categories and more. Once your changes are complete, select Save.

  8. When you are ready to make the request list available to your client, select the ellipses (...) next to the draft request list and choose Publish.

Once the roll forward process is complete, the new request list will be created with your selected options and configurations. You can continue making updates to the request list at any time, including after it has been published.

Helpful Notes

  • Rolled forward request lists are automatically created in a Draft state and must be published before clients can view them.

  • Publishing a request list does not lock it. You can continue to update requests and make changes as needed after publication.
