Set Up Your Account

Instructions on how to complete the onboarding steps to set up your account and access TaxAdvantage

  1. The first step to set up your account in TaxAdvantage is to check your email for your temporary login credentials.

  2. On the Sign-In page, enter your email address and copy-paste the temporary credentials from the onboarding email. Please make sure that there are no extra spaces at the end of the temporary password.

  3. After signing in with the temporary credentials, you will be prompted to create a new password. Your password must contain at least:

    • 14 characters

    • 1 number

    • 1 uppercase letter

    • 1 lowercase letter

    • 1 special character

  4. The final step is setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA), which is a critical security requirement for the platform. Setting up MFA requires an authenticator app on your mobile device, such as Okta Verify, Google or Microsoft authenticator. Open your preferred authenticator app to set up a new MFA account and scan the QR code. Then type in the 6-digit code that appears in your authenticator app.

    Once you have set up MFA, your account is ready to go and you will automatically be redirected into TaxAdvantage. You will also receive an email with a user guide and tips to get started.
