Billing explained

Understand how billing works in Array and manage your subscription with confidence.

Updated over 3 months ago

Overview

Billing in Array is fully automated, providing a seamless experience for account management. Whether you're a solo user or managing a large team, our flexible billing system adjusts based on:

  • The plan you’re on

  • The number of users in your account

  • Your billing frequency (monthly or annually)

We believe in transparent pricing — no hidden fees, and no long-term contracts. You're free to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.

Billing Options

Array offers two billing cycles:

1. Monthly Billing

  • Pay-as-you-go, with a month-to-month subscription.

  • You’re only charged for what you use during that month.

  • Great for short-term projects or teams with changing needs.

Example: If you add a user at the start of your billing cycle, you'll be charged the full rate for that user for that month. If you remove them midway, there's no refund — but you won’t be charged again in the following cycle.

2. Annual Billing

  • Prepay for 12 months and receive a discount equivalent to 2 free months.

  • Ideal for long-term use, budgeting, and teams with stable requirements.

Adding users mid-year? You’ll only be charged a pro-rated amount for the time remaining on your annual cycle. You can reassign that user slot to another person at any time — no additional charges.

Upgrading Your Plan

Upgrading your account is quick and easy:

  1. Visit the Pricing Page.

  2. Choose the plan that best fits your needs.

  3. Confirm your upgrade.

Only pay the difference.
If you're switching from a $50/month plan to a $300/month plan, you'll only be charged $250 at the time of upgrade.

Downgrading Your Plan

Before downgrading, ensure your account meets the requirements of the lower plan:

  • Your form features must match the allowed functionality (e.g. remove Form Logic or Email Copies if not available on the lower tier).

  • Your user count must not exceed the limit of the downgraded plan.

  • Any excess users can be removed or downgraded individually.

⚠️ If your current forms or users exceed the limitations of the new plan, you’ll need to adjust before the downgrade can be processed.

Add-Ons

Need more flexibility? Add-ons allow you to expand your account with additional features:

Common Add-Ons:

  • Extra users

  • Additional storage

  • Bots

  • Custom workflows

  • Email sender address changes

How to add:

  • Some add-ons (like Bots) can be added directly by account owners.

  • For others, contact our support team for setup and pricing details.

All add-ons are billed monthly and continue on a rolling basis until removed.

Deleting or Removing Users

Removing users is easy — and on monthly billing, you’ll only be charged for the duration that user was active. On annual plans, removed users are not refunded, but you can reassign their slot at no additional cost.
