Canvas allows you to customize your Array dashboard to display the information that matters most to your team or organization.

What is Canvas?

Canvas is a customizable dashboard that displays the data and tools you need at a glance. It's especially helpful for:

  • Managers monitoring submissions

  • Teams working on live events

  • Anyone who wants quick access to real-time data

You can build and personalize your Canvas using our Dash Builder.

Where to Find Canvas

  1. Log in to Array.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Resources.

  3. Select Canvases.

This opens the Canvas page, where you’ll see your default dashboard and any additional canvases you've created.

Creating a New Canvas

To create a custom dashboard:

  1. On the Canvas page, click the ‘+’ (plus) icon in the top right.

  2. A pop-up will appear — enter a name for your new Canvas.

  3. Click ‘Create’.

You’ll now be taken to the Dash Builder, where you can start building your Canvas.

Add Tiles to Your Canvas

  1. Click ‘Edit’ in the top-left corner.

  2. Click ‘New Tile’. A toolbox will appear on the left side of the screen.

  3. Drag and drop tiles from the toolbox to the Canvas — just like building a form.

You can add charts, activity feeds, embedded videos, forms, buttons, and more.

  1. When you’re done, click ‘Save’ (top left), then again in the top right.

Your new Canvas will now appear in your Canvas list.

Editing or Deleting a Canvas

To Edit:

  1. Click on any Canvas in the list to open it in the Dash Builder.

  2. Click the pencil icon to rename it.

To Delete:

  1. Check the box on the Canvas you want to remove.

  2. Click ‘Move to Trash’ at the bottom of the page.

  3. A pop-up will confirm deletion — click ‘Delete’ to remove it permanently.

Switching to Your Canvas on the Dashboard

Once you've created your custom Canvas, here’s how to use it on your main dashboard:

  1. Click ‘Dash’ in the top-left navigation.

  2. In the top-right corner, use the dropdown menu to switch between available Canvases.

  3. Select your preferred Canvas — it will now be your default dashboard view.

Pro Tip

You can create multiple canvases for different departments, users, or data views — great for teams who need their own dashboards!
