Where to Find Formview
To start using Formview:
Go to the Form Builder
On the right-hand toolbox, open the ‘Media & More’ tab
Drag the Live Video element onto your form
This will automatically add the following elements to your form:
Setting Up a Formview Call
Once you drag in the Live Video element, a popup window appears with your call settings:
Notification Settings
Choose to send notifications via Email or SMS
Enable Chat Window
Toggle chat on or off during the call
Email Theme
Select a pre-set email template for the notification (see Email Templates)
Select Users for the Call
Once everything is set up, click Save.
Editing Settings Later
You can edit your Formview settings at any time by:
Clicking the ‘Start Video Chat’ element and selecting ‘Live Video Settings’ from the toolbar
Or hovering over the element and clicking the settings icon in the top-right corner
Sharing Your Formview Form
To invite others to your Formview:
Share via Direct Link
Get the form URL via the Share button in the Form Builder (see Sharing Forms Guide).
Share via Booking Form
Use a booking form for people to request or schedule a call. Email the link using an Email Template.
Assign as a Task
Assign the form as a task to users in your account. (See Task Overview for help.)
Add to Calendar
You can also include the link in a Google Calendar or Outlook invite.
Launching and Joining a Formview Call
Formview works in any web browser and on both iOS and Android devices—no app needed.
Click the form link
Click Start Video Chat
You’ll enter a Waiting Room where you can:
When ready, click Join Room
The meeting room will open, and others can join the call
You’ll be notified by Email or SMS (based on your earlier settings) when others join the session.
Features During a Call
Once in the Formview room, you’ll see the main call interface.
Controls at the Bottom of the Screen:
Toggle Microphone
Toggle Camera
Open/Close Chat Window
Leave Room
Chat Feature
The chat appears on the right-hand side
Type your message in the ‘Write your message’ box and hit Enter or click Send
Messages are saved as part of the form submission
Take a Picture
Click the camera icon to take a screenshot
Choose Use Photo or Cancel
Images are saved in the Video Chat Photos section of the form
Flip Camera (Mobile Only)
Use the flip icon in the top-right to switch between front and rear cameras
Access the Form During the Call
Click the Form button (bottom-right)
This opens a live, fillable view of the form
Any participant can see updates made in real-time
Click Video Chat at the top of the page to return to the call
Ending the Call
When finished, click Send Form to submit your data
Click the Leave Room button to exit the session
