Pull Evernote spreadsheet data into Array using Data Search
Step 1: Set Up Zapier
Go to the Array integration page on Zapier
Log in or create a free Zapier account at zapier.com
Once logged in, you're ready to create your first Zap
A Zap is an automated workflow made up of two parts: a Trigger (what starts it) and an Action (what happens after the trigger).
Step 2: Set Up a Trigger (Array → Evernote)
From your Zapier Dashboard, click “Create Zap”
Choose Array as the Trigger App
Select your Trigger Event:
Connect your Array account to Zapier when prompted
Choose the form you want to monitor
Zapier will fetch sample data to test the trigger
Step 3: Set Up an Action (Send to Evernote)
Choose Evernote as the Action App
Select the Action Event (e.g.,
Create Note)
Connect your Evernote account when prompted
Customize the Evernote note:
Choose the notebook for saving the note
Map form fields from Array into the note content
Add tags for categorization
Attach media, files, or a PDF copy of the submission
Test your Zap to ensure everything is working
Click Finish and give your Zap a name
Toggle the Zap ON and you're done!
Connect Array to Evernote via the Array Market
You can also enable native integration between Array and Evernote:
Go to the “Installed Apps” section on your Array dashboard
Search for Evernote
Click Install
Log into your Evernote account when prompted
Evernote will now be available as a connected storage option for forms
You can manage integrations from this panel and add or remove accounts as needed.
Automatically Save Array Data to Evernote
Create New Notes from Form Submissions
Open your form in the Form Builder
Click Connect at the top of the page
Go to the Storage tab
Click on Evernote
Choose:
Which notebook to save notes in
What tags to apply
How to format the data:
Text note – shows form answers in editable format
PDF – attaches a snapshot of the form
Media – includes any photos, videos, or audio recordings
Every new submission will generate a unique, editable Evernote note.
Save Media and Attachments
If your form collects images, videos, audio, or file uploads, you can choose to:
Attach them directly to the Evernote note
Include them as embedded media or downloadable files
Toggle media saving options in the Evernote Storage settings
Save PDF Copies of Submissions
Enable PDF export in the Evernote Storage section
A PDF of each submission will be attached to the Evernote note
PDFs provide a clean, static record for compliance or archiving
Create Evernote Spreadsheets with Form Data
You can send Array submissions into CSV or Excel files inside Evernote:
Select CSV or Excel from the Evernote Storage options
A spreadsheet note will be created in your selected notebook
Each new form response will add a new row
Each field in the form becomes a column in the sheet
This is useful for tracking responses over time in a single document.
Populate Forms with Evernote Data (Using Data Search)
Using Array’s Data Search tool, you can auto-fill fields based on data stored in Evernote spreadsheets.
How to Set Up:
In the Form Builder, drag in the Data Search field (from the toolbox)
In the pop-up window, select Evernote as the data source
Choose the Evernote spreadsheet you want to pull from
Select the columns you want users to search against
Your form will now include a “Search Evernote” field
Users can:Type a value (e.g., ID or name)
See matching results
Auto-fill related fields in the form
Useful for pre-filling forms based on existing records, reducing errors and saving time.
