What Is Soft-Deleted Data?
When you delete a form, folder, or report in Array, it isn’t immediately removed from your account or from our servers. Instead, it’s placed in “soft delete” mode for 30 days. During this period, you can restore any accidentally deleted items before they are permanently erased.
How to View Deleted Data
To view soft-deleted items, you need to go to the correct section in Array based on what was deleted:
Type of Data | Where to Look |
Folder | Go to Folders section |
Form | Go to Forms section |
Report | Go to Reports section |
Once in the correct section:
Click the Filter icon (usually at the top of the page).
Scroll down to find the "Show Trash" filter.
Set Show Trash to "Yes".
Array will now display all soft-deleted items for that section.
How to Restore Deleted Items
Once you’ve found the deleted item you want to bring back:
Use the checkbox on the left-hand side of the item to select it.
A bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Click the Restore button.
You will be prompted to confirm the restore action.
Once confirmed:
The item will be moved back to its original location.
You’ll now see it again in your active list of folders, forms, or reports.
Important Notes on Data Recovery
⏳ 30-Day Limit: You have 30 days from the date of deletion to restore your data.
🧨 After 30 Days: Items are permanently deleted from Array’s servers and cannot be recovered.
🔁 Manual Restoration: You must restore each item manually. Bulk restoration is possible using checkboxes for multiple selections.
Pro Tip
Before deleting any major form or folder, consider exporting the data or downloading a backup via the Reports section. That way, you always have a local copy — just in case.
