Setting Up 2-Step Authentication (2FA) in Array

Your account security — and the protection of the data you collect — is a top priority at Array. While your data is already encrypted by default, enabling 2-Step Authentication adds an extra layer of protection every time you log in.

Updated over 3 months ago

This guide will walk you through what 2FA is, how it works, and how to set it up on your Array account.

What is 2-Step Authentication?

2-Step Authentication (also called 2FA or Multi-Factor Authentication) adds a second verification step to your login process.

Instead of just entering your username and password, you’ll also be required to enter a time-sensitive, 6-digit code generated by the Google Authenticator app — or delivered via SMS, voice call, or security key.

Benefits of 2FA

  • Stronger Account Security
Even if your password is compromised, no one can access your account without your second verification method.

  • Unique Codes Every Login
A new 6-digit code is generated every 30 seconds in the Google Authenticator app.

  • Works Without Network Signal
The Authenticator app does not require cellular or internet access to generate codes.

  • Backup Codes Available
You can generate and store backup codes in case you lose access to the app.

How 2FA Works in Array

  1. Log in to Array with your username and password.

  2. Open the Google Authenticator app (or another authentication method).

  3. Enter the 6-digit code shown in the app.

  4. Access granted! You're now logged in securely.

You’ll need to enter a new code every time you log in.

Setting Up 2FA for Your Account

Important: 2FA can only be enabled by the Account Owner. Once enabled, all users within the account will be required to use it.

1. Contact the Array Support Team

To get started, send a message via:

  • Live Chat

  • Submit a support request

Let us know you'd like to enable 2-Step Authentication for your account.

2. Download Google Authenticator

You can get the app from:

The device you install the app on does not need to be the same as the device you use to access Array — but you’ll need access to the app whenever you log in.

3. Scan the QR Code from Array

Once 2FA is enabled on your account, Array will send you a secure link with a QR code.

  • Open the Google Authenticator app

  • Tap the "+" button

  • Select “Scan a QR code”

  • Use your phone to scan the QR code provided by Array

This links your Array account to your Authenticator app.

4. Start Using 2FA

That’s it! Next time you log in:

  • Enter your username and password

  • Open Google Authenticator and input your 6-digit code

  • You're in!

Lost Access to Google Authenticator?

If you lose access to the device with your Authenticator app:

  • Use your backup codes (if saved)

  • Or contact Array Support to reset your 2FA settings
