Tasks in the Array App

Use the Array App to access, complete, and delegate your tasks on the go.

The Array App gives you a simple, mobile-friendly way to manage your tasks. Whether you're in the field or on the move, you can easily view, filter, complete, or delegate tasks — all from your device.

Finding Tasks in the App

To access your assigned tasks:

  1. Open the Array App and log into your account.

  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-right corner.

  3. Select "Tasks" from the menu.

You’ll now see the Tasks dashboard, showing:

  • Scheduled tasks

  • Completed Today

  • Missed tasks

Filtering Your Tasks

You can filter your tasks to make finding them easier. Tap one of the following options at the top of the Tasks page:

  • Due Date – Tasks are shown in order of the nearest deadline.

  • Priority – Tasks are sorted by priority (with Priority 4 at the top).

  • Tag – View tasks grouped by tags (e.g. Department, Project).

Simply tap the filter you want to apply, and the list will update instantly.

Viewing & Completing Tasks

On your Tasks page, you’ll see a list of all tasks assigned to you. To open a task:

  1. Tap on the task you want to view.

You’ll see detailed task information including:

  • Task title

  • Start & end date/time

  • Assigned by

  • Priority level

  • Attached forms (if any)

  • Attached files/documents

Completing a Task

  • If a form is attached, tap the form button to fill it out and submit it.

  • If no form is attached, simply tap the “Complete Task” button once finished.

Any attached documents (e.g., instructions, checklists) will also appear within the task.

Accept or Decline

At the bottom of the task, you can respond to confirm your participation:

  • Accept – Confirms you're taking the task

  • Decline – Lets your team know you're unable to complete it

Delegating Your Tasks

If you're unable to complete a task, you may be allowed to delegate it to another user — depending on how the task was set up.

ℹ️ To delegate a task, the "Allow Delegation" option must have been enabled by the task creator. See Task Overview for details.

How to Delegate a Task:

  1. Open the task you want to delegate.

  2. Scroll down and tap the “Delegate” button.

  3. A list of users on your account will appear.

    • Scroll or use the search bar to find a specific user.

  4. Select the user.

  5. Tap “Delegate” at the bottom of the screen.

The task will now be reassigned, and the new user will be notified.

Quick Tips:

  • Tap "Today" in Calendar view to return to current tasks.

  • Use tags to group tasks by department, location, or workflow.

  • Always make sure to sync your app if working offline, to ensure your task updates are saved.
