The manual IP whitelisting procedure allows Arsen phishing simulation emails to bypass your protections and reach employees’ inboxes directly, ensuring a realistic training experience.
1 – Objectives
Allow Arsen simulation emails to reach inboxes successfully
Prevent simulations from being flagged as spam
Reduce visual warnings that could artificially influence employee behavior
Ensure realistic and representative phishing awareness training
2 – Prerequisites
Administrator access to the Google Workspace / Google Apps Admin Console
Ability to modify Gmail settings at the organization level
3 – Add Arsen IP addresses to the allow list
3.1 – Access Gmail settings
Log in to https://admin.google.com

3.2 – Open security settings
Open
Spam, phishing, and malware
(or Advanced Settings depending on your interface)
3.3 – Add IPs to the allow list
In the left column, select your primary domain
In Email whitelist, enter:

Save
Arsen emails will now reach inboxes.

4 – Add the IP addresses as an inbound gateway
4.1 – Access inbound gateway configuration
In: Admin Console → Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail

5 – Adjust spam detection settings
5.1 – Define an arbitrary regular expression
In Message tagging:

Message is considered spam if the header matches the following regexEnter an arbitrary value, for example:
fjlriohdftoiuyagdfjhvkbj
This value will never match a header generated by Arsen.
5.2 – Modify Gmail’s spam filter behavior
Select
Message is spam if the regex matches…Then check:
Disable Gmail’s spam filter for messages received from this gateway and rely only on the header value.
5.3 – Save configuration
