Why do multiple profiles exist for one email?

Multiple customer profiles tied to the same email address typically appear when:

  • A customer has participated in different bidding activities with different customer numbers and a similar email address.

  • The same person has been imported more than once, using the same email but with different customer IDs.

Don’t worry: Even if a customer has several profiles, they will not receive multiple emails from the same campaign. The system ensures that only one message is sent per email address, regardless of how many profiles are linked to it.

How to identify and view connected profiles

If a customer has additional profiles with the same email, you’ll see a blue circle with a +X icon (e.g. +2) next to their initials at the top of their profile (see example below).

To view the other profiles:

  1. Hover over the +X icon next to the customer name.

  2. A popup will appear showing the initials of other profiles with the same email.

  3. Click on any profile to navigate directly to it.

All these profiles share the same email address but may have different customer numbers and histories.

What about Recommendations?

When generating recommendations, the system aggregates the bidding history across all profiles with the same email address. This means:

  • The recommendations you see reflect the complete bidding activity of the customer across all linked profiles.

  • You get accurate and relevant suggestions, even if their activity is split between profiles.

Why do different profiles show different departments?

Each customer profile may show a different department depending on:

  • The department associated with bids in the results import.

  • The email + customer number combination used when importing bid data.

So it’s possible that:

  • Profile A (email + customer ID 1) shows bids for Department A.

  • Profile B (email + customer ID 2) shows bids for Department B.
