If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases for processing your personal information. We may rely on the following:
Consent: We may process your information if you've given us permission to use it for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

In legal terms, we are generally the 'data controller' under European data protection laws for the personal information described in this privacy notice, as we determine how and why we process your data. This privacy notice doesn't apply to personal information we process as a 'data processor' on behalf of our customers. In those cases, the customer we provide services to is the 'data controller' responsible for your personal information, and we merely process it according to their instructions. For business transactions meeting certain conditions
When contained in a witness statement necessary for insurance claims
To identify injured, ill, or deceased persons and communicate with next of kin
If we have reasonable grounds to believe an individual is a victim of financial abuse
When consent would compromise information availability or accuracy, and collection is reasonable for investigating agreement breaches or law contraventions
To comply with subpoenas, warrants, court orders, or rules relating to records production
For information produced during employment, business, or profession, consistent with its original purpose
For journalistic, artistic, or literary purposes
When information is publicly available and specified by regulations

For optimal security, we recommend accessing our Services only from a secure environment.
8. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to individuals under 18 years of age.
Our Services are not intended for minors under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or sell personal information from individuals in this age group. By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or are the parent or guardian of a minor who has your permission to use the Services. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from users under 18, we will promptly deactivate the associated account and delete the data from our records. 10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. This setting allows you to signal your preference against having your online browsing activities monitored and collected. However, there's currently no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals. As a result, we don't currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted in the future that we must follow, we'll inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
California law requires us to disclose how we respond to web browser DNT signals. At present, because there's no industry or legal standard for recognizing or honouring DNT signals, we don't respond to them.
