How to Set Default Email Greeting and Signature

Learn how to set default email greetings and signatures, including using personalization tags and copying your existing email signature.

You can personalize your emails by setting default greetings and signatures. Follow these steps to set them up:

Step 1: Access Settings

  • In the bottom-left corner, click the circle with your initials and select Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Smart Mail Settings

  • On the Settings page, scroll down to Account and select Mail > Smart Mail.

Step 3: Enter Default Email Greeting and Signature

  • In the Email Greeting and Email Signature text boxes, enter the default text you want to appear in all your emails.

Email Greeting:

  • Use tags like [honorific], [first name], and [last name] to automatically personalize emails based on the recipient's information.

Email Signature:

  • You can copy and paste the signature from your Gmail or Outlook account, and it will retain the original formatting.

Note:

Please keep in mind that if you are trying to copy and paste an image to the Email Signature textbox, you'll first need to have it saved on your Google and Outlook.

Step 4: Save Changes

  • After entering your greeting and signature, click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
