Step 1: In the top-right corner, select your account > Import/Export.

Step 2: In the left-hand banner, go to Import Contacts.

Step 3: To view the template for importing contacts, select Get Template.

Step 4: Follow the template, then to upload your file by selecting Upload Spreadsheet.

Note:

1. The only fields that allow multiple entries are tags and roles. You can separate each entry by comma. The other fields, such as email and assigned to list, do not allow multiple entry, and you would need to batch edit them after the import.

2. When filling out the template, you can:

  • Delete the columns that you do not need

  • Rearrange the order of the columns

3. The following actions can cause failure in uploading:

  • Change the headers (spacing, capitalization, spelling, etc.)

  • Have additional columns that are not in the template

  • Have multiple tabs in the file

4. After filling out the template, it is suggested that you delete all the empty rows and columns, to speed up the process and to prevent failures.

Step 5: In the Upload File window, add the intended spreadsheet. Your import will start processing.
