In ARTERNAL, you can upload a video of an artwork in the Alt Views section. These videos can be played in Online Viewing Rooms and shared through Smart Mail. Here's how to add videos as alt views:

Step 1: Upload the Video

  • Go to the artwork's Inventory Detail Page and click on Alt Views.

  • Upload the video, and it will appear below the main view of the artwork.

Step 2: Display the Video in an Online Viewing Room

  • When the artwork is included in an Online Viewing Room, the video will automatically display on the artwork’s page.

Step 3: Share the Video via Smart Mail

  • To share the video via Smart Mail, click Add Attachments.

  • Select the artwork and then the video you want to share. The video will appear in the email.

Important Note:

We recommend using .mp4 videos over .mov videos, as some browsers do not support the .mov format. If you include .mov videos in Smart Mail or Online Viewing Rooms, the video may download directly instead of playing in the browser.
