How to Record Auction History for Artworks

Learn how to create and record an artwork’s auction history in ARTERNAL, including fields for bids, auction house, and more.

ARTERNAL allows you to record an artwork's complete auction history. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Access the Auction History Section

  • Go to the artwork’s inventory page, click on the History tab, and scroll down to the Auction History section at the bottom.

Step 2: Add Auction Information

  • Click on + New Auction to open a new window for entering auction details.

  • Fields include: Date, Highest Bidder, Highest Bid, Auctioned At, Estimate, Lot, Link, and Notes. You can also upload attachments related to the auction sale.

Step 3: Save the Auction History

  • After entering the auction information, click Save. To add more auction history, repeat these steps as needed.
